Whether you are thinking about moving to the Valley or already call it home, this starter guide will give you plenty of places to go, things to do, wonders to see, and destinations to explore.

DINING

We know for certain that dining out is essential when hitting the town. Looking for a quick meal, we got that. Need a fancy sit-down restaurant? We've got that too. Here are our top 5 place to eat in the Lehigh Valley. (In no particular order)

ENTERTAINMENT

Call the babysitter, phone the in-laws, we’re hitting the town! If you can’t find something to do in the Lehigh Valley then you’re just a bump on a log. Here are 5 things to do to get you started.

1. Musikfest - If you know, you know. If you don’t you need to. The nations largest non-gated free music festival. You NEED to experience this.

2. Wind Creek Event Center - This place has it all. A-list artist, comedians, boxing, MMA, gambling and music! There is always something happening here.

Got some coin burning a hole in your pocket? Visit the downtown streets and support local small businesses or meander through the Promenade shops.

SPORTS

Home to two minor league sports teams, fourteen colleges/universities, fifteen golf courses and country clubs, and numerous public parks, you can be a spectator or a participant.

1. Iron Pigs - Take in a game at Coca-Cola Park and watch the Philadelphia Phillies minor league baseball team battle it out.

2. Phantoms - Enjoy a night at the PPL Center in Allentown watching the minor league hockey team of the Philadelphia Flyers.

4. Velodrome - The premiere cycling center in the US is home to professional and amateur track racing!

OUTDOORS

The great outdoors! Home to fresh air, sunshine, wildlife and adventure. If you’ve been cooped up inside for to long like we have, these 5 destinations in the Lehigh Valley will do just the trick to refresh your spirit and provide some adventure.

1. Hawk Mountain - Wildlife abounds in this nature preserve. Take the family for a hike and enjoy breathtaking views.

2. Delaware River Tubing - beat the heat and enjoy scenic views as you float down the Delaware River.

3. D&L Trail - Explore 165 miles of the multi-use trail from the mountains of the Northeast down through Bucks county.

4. Bushkill Falls - Known as the “Niagara of Pennsylvania”, these eight waterfalls are just a short drive from the Valley.

5. Bear Creek & Blue Mountain - Looking for winter and summer fun, look no further than these two resorts.
